'Duck Dynasty' stars say they are excited to move forward with show after controversy

“Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson says his family is ready to move forward with their hit A&E show after the network lifted his father Phil Robertson’s suspension over controversial comments he made about gay marriage.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News as part of the “All-American New Year,” Robertson and his wife Korie told Bill Hemmer and Elisabeth Hasselbeck there is no bad blood between the family and the network and they are excited to continue the show in 2014.

“We’re just glad to get back to work, A &E and us are fine,” Robertson said. “The Robertsons, we are looking forward to getting back to making some funny shows and it’s a new year, so we are ready to break in a new year and start it all over again.”

Phil Robertson was suspended by A&E for nine days after he made the controversial remarks about homosexuals and African-Americans in GQ magazine. He was reinstated by the network on Friday.

Robertson said the family is ready to move on from the incident and is excited about the episodes from the new season they have already filmed.

“You know we are ready to move on,” he said. “I think we all learned a lot and we are just ready to move on and the family is happy and we are ready to go.”

Korie Robertson reiterated her husband’s feelings, saying she is glad the entire family can continue to work on the show.

“The best thing about the show is we get to do it together as a family,” she said.

Willie Robertson said fans of the show can look forward to more fun from the family and good episodes in 2014.

“We had a lot to be thankful for in 2013 for sure,” he said. “If this next year is half as successful we will be blessed.”
