If there's one thing we can learn from the recent British phone-hacking scandal, it's that the royal family isn't quite as stuffy as we thought.

In addition to discovering such gems as Prince William's nickname for Kate ("babykins") and his military shenanigans (he "nearly got shot" by blank rounds during a training exercise), the newest testimony has revealed the details of a prank phone call between William and Harry, in which William repeatedly calls his younger brother a ginger.

Posing as Harry's then-girlfriend Chelsy Davy, Wills phoned up his brother and said, "Hi, it’s Chelsy here. I just want to say I miss you so much and I think you are the best-looking ginger I have ever seen, although you really are quite ugly for a ginger. Hope you are having a lovely time. I really miss you. It is lovely out here in Africa and hopefully I will see you very soon, you big hairy fat ginger."

Perhaps William was aware that Davy had a penchant for leaving "dozens of calls and texts" for Harry while the royal was training at Sandhurst military academy — a tidbit the public learned about through earlier testimony.

Or, perhaps he just enjoys pulling his little brother's leg.

Whatever the reason, it's nice to know the royal family doesn't always take themselves so seriously.
