Food Network star Nigella Lawson was feeling particularly paranoid about her drug habit when police pressed her to testify against two personal assistants accused of stealing from her and millionaire ex-hubby Charles Saatchi, a cop told a London court Wednesday.

Lawson, who’s also a judge on ABC’s “The Taste,” freaked out when cops told her in an Oct. 3 meeting that she’d have to take the witness stand against the two sisters, blurting out of the blue, “I am not a drug addict.”

“We discussed her reasons for wanting to come to court, or not. She then said, ‘I am not a drug addict,’ ” Detective Sgt. Peter Lewis testified, adding, “It wasn’t in response to a question from me.”

Lawson has previously said that the prosecution of Francesca and Elisabetta Grillo would be used by Saatchi as a tool to paint her as a habitual drug user.

Lawson ended up taking the stand last week and was forced to admit she has used cocaine a half-dozen times and has dabbled in marijuana.
