Kanye West has been performing 27 songs per concert as he travels from stage to stage during his “Yeezus” tour. It’s definitely hard work. But West said it’s just as hard as being a police officer or being in a war. (Yes, really.)

The ranting rapper made the comments during a radio interview with, and Radar Online posted a video of his controversial comparison.

“I’m just giving of my body on the stage and putting my life at risk, literally,” West said. “When I think about when I’m on the ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing,’ and ‘Coldest Winter’ moment, like that mountain goes really, really high. And if I slipped… You never know. And I think about it. I think about my family and I’m like, wow, this is like being a police officer or something, in war or something.”

West explained what he meant— adding that he is laying it all on the table despite the media scrutiny he endures.

“Like you’re literally going out to do your job every day knowing that something could happen to you. Something could happen to you verbally from the press bashing you, something could happen to you from people not liking you anymore 'cause of your records— you could actually slip on that stage.”

West and his fiancée Kim Kardashian are constantly in the public eye, and he said one day, he will explain to daughter, North, how they had to “fight for this position.”

“I have the position of being extremely famous,” he said, but that doesn’t mean he won’t ramble on and share his thoughts while on stage.

“I just meditate and I act like I’m not even here and I just say exactly what I say, exactly what I dream, the frustrations that I have, and the way we’re going to overcome it.”
