Is Lindsay Lohan finally on a road to long-term recovery following her latest stint at Cliffside Malibu?

The troubled starlet spent her summer in court-ordered rehab following last year’s brushes with the legal system, after pleading no contest to reckless driving and giving false information to law enforcement. But despite her recent string of eyebrow-raising club and party appearances, and rampant rumors she’s back on the booze, sources closely connected to the actress assure us that she’s keeping it clean.

“Lindsay is doing great; she’s a 27-year-old girl who insists on having a good time. If she was to be stopped from going out and having a good time then she’ll find other, less ideal, ways of having fun,” an insider told FOX411. “She likes being Lindsay Lohan, she likes having fun. That’s not going to change.”

Lohan was spotted this past weekend partying alongside fellow former Disney darling Miley Cyrus at New York City club, leaving at around 5 a.m. She’s also been known to frequent Sing Sing Karoke Bar in the East Village, living it up and chain smoking until the wee hours, and she even joined Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Thursday to boost her bank account by co-hosting an annual Halloween bash at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. But perhaps the biggest blow to her recently improved public image came last week when she was photographed reaching for a wine bottle while with friends, however we’ve been told she was just reaching for her purse.

“She goes to regular AA meetings and sees a therapist regularly and is in close contact with those who were helping her at Cliffside,” the source told us. “Not only is Lindsay sober, but she hasn’t gotten into a single problem since leaving rehab.”

We’re also told the “Mean Girls” sensation is diligently showing up to shoot each day—as she works with Oprah on a TV show—and is “busting her ass” both personally and professionally to stay sober.

Well, maybe there is hope after all.
