Demi Lovato was the star of the night at Sunday’s MuchMusic Video Awards.

Lovato performed not one but two of her hits live before taking home the award for International Video of the Year.

Rocking her love for all things leather, Lovato took the stage in Toronto to belt out her current single “Heart Attack” and her other smash hit “Give Your Heart A Break.”

This weekend, Lovato had other reasons to give thanks as one of her closest friends, Kim Kardashian, gave birth to a little girl.

Lovato took to Twitter to congratulate her “sis” Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Kanye West on the new arrival.

“Congratulations to my sis @KimKardashian and @kanyewest on having their first baby!!!” wrote Lovato.

Kardashian and her rapper beau have kept mum after the birth of their daughter, who was born a month premature.

However, Kardashian’s famously vocal family has been sharing plenty of information themselves.

Her mom Kris Jenner told E! at the Daytime Emmys on Sunday that she is "extremely happy and thrilled for the new baby and she's doing great and she's beautiful."

Kardashian's sister Khloe wrote on Twitter, "I can not even begin 2describe the miracle that is now apart of our family. Mommy/baby are healthy &resting. We appreciate all of the love."

She quickly followed with a second tweet: "More info will come when the time is right! Thank you all for understanding! We love you all dearly! Overwhelmed with love right now."

Back in December, when the news was first announced that the reality star was expecting, Lovato offered to babysit the little tike.

"So happy for you @KimKardashian," Lovato said once again on Twitter. "Love you SO much and I'm so excited to babysit!! Miss you girly.. Once again... SO happy for you!!! Xox"

The reality TV star's pregnancy was almost as anticipated as the royal pregnancy of Kate Middleton, who is due in mid-July. That's about the time the Kardashian baby had been due.

The couple had initially kept the baby's gender a secret, but the sex was revealed earlier this month during one of Kardashian's doctor appointments on "Keeping up with the Kardashians."
