From the producers who brought you “Twilight” comes… a film about Hillary Clinton?

Yes, that’s right, the minds behind the Kristen Stewart vampire triology are planning a feature film about the former first lady, to be released just in time for the 2016 presidential election.

"Rodham" will focus on the Secretary of State’s early years and her marriage to Bill Clinton. The movie will concentrate on the time in the power couple’s lives when they were first eyeing the White House.

Director James Ponsoldt, of “Spectacular Now,” has signed on for the project along with writer Young II Kim.

Back in January, Kim spoke to the New York Daily News about what attracted him to the project.

“I think if you strip away all the polarizing politics, at her core she’s still that person who genuinely cares for people without a voice,” he told the newspaper. “I wanted to capture the moment before she loses that innocence.”

According to Deadline, the producers are hoping to cast someone to play Hillary Clinton before shopping the movie around to different studios.
