When the Kardashian family heard that their former nanny, Pam Behan, was writing a book about her time working for them, they weren’t too happy.

But Behan said she decided to write “Malibu Nanny: Adventures of a former Kardashian Nanny” to share her side of their story.

“First of all, I’ve had hundreds of thousands of people over the course of the last five years tell me I should write a book,” the Minnesota native told Fox News. “It’s really, truly my journey.”

And those looking for a juicy tell-all about the Kardashian household may be somewhat disappointed. Behan’s book is more about her life during those years, she said.

“[The book] talks about coming from a town of 123, how I got the job, how I was in love with Sylvester Stallone in my younger years and I actually got to date him,” she said. “It talks about, of course, the years with the Kardashians because everyone is fascinated by that. It talks about also when I left, the trial and tribulations that I went through and the vast walks of life that I actually went through.”

Behan said she began her job as a nanny working for Linda Jenner when she was married to Bruce. She then stayed with the family when Bruce married Kris Kardashian and Behan ultimately left her job when Kris was pregnant with Kendall.

“I had been there already five years when Kris got pregnant with Kendall, and I actually gave my notice. That was part of the reason, just because I didn’t want to get attached to this baby all over. I knew I would never leave.”

And it doesn’t seem she left with a bad impression of the reality TV family.

“They were very privileged…” she admitted. “They were actually very well behaved.”

She said at the end of the day, the Kardashians are all about family.

“What you probably don’t know is that they really, truly are a close-knit family, and they were then, and they still are now,” she said. “They do some crazy things-- that we are all aware of-- but they always come back together.”
