Demi Lovato is losing her mind over love… in her new edgy music video, that is.

Appropriately named “Heart Attack” Lovato sings about the struggles of bringing one’s walls down and being vulnerable when meeting a new lover.

“Puttin' my defenses up, 'cause I don't wanna fall in love; If I ever did that, I think I'd have a heart attack," sings the former Disney startlet in the song.

The songstress and “X Factor” judge premiered her latest video on E! News on Tuesday.

The new song is featured in the singer’s fourth studio album self titled “Demi.”

"I think for fans or friends or anybody who's afraid to fall in love, I'd rather live my life with my arms open than closed off the entire time," Lovato told E! News.

And when it comes to being in love, Lovato has some experience.

The singer has been linked to actor Wilmer Valderrama. The two are close friends even though they called it quits last year.

Still, the two were spotted on Valentine’s Day at an L.A. restaurant in what a source told US Weekly  magazine was an encounter with lots of “cuddling."

"They ordered almost everything on the menu, but they didn't touch it for at least an hour," an insider said.

The source said the two stared at each other the whole time and seemed engrossed in a “really intense conversation.”
