Demi Lovato has come a long way since her Disney days. With a new healthy outlook on life and sizzling singing career, Lovato is taking on her latest role as a judge on "The X Factor."
Simon Cowell has a whole lot of love for the youngest “X Factor” mentor.
After a judging shake up left Lovato’s fate uncertain, both Cowell and Lovato herself are confirming that she will be back for season three.
“I am so excited to return as a judge and mentor on 'The X Factor,'” Lovato told the Hollywood Reporter. “Last season was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed developing personal relationships with the contestants and the panel. I look forward to taking my previous experience and applying it to make this season even better.”
As the youngest judge on the show, Cowell said he loved how the “Heart Attack” singer related to the contestants and the viewers.
“I couldn’t be happier that Demi wants to come back this year,” Cowell said in a statement. “She’s a superstar in her own right and was a fantastic mentor last year.”
Apparently teasing the young star, Cowell added: “Even though she can be really, really annoying – I truly enjoyed working with her and so did the artists. I'm especially pleased she’s back even during her world tour!”
Auditions for season three begin on March 6 in Los Angeles.
So far, no replacements have been named for exiting judges L.A. Reid and Britney Spears.
