'Bachelor' Sean Lowe proposes, and the lucky bride-to-be is ...

Catherine Giudici, a goofy, nerdy, 26-year-old graphic designer, has won the heart of “Bachelor” Sean Lowe.

The handsome fan favorite proposed in Thailand on the “The Bachelor” finale, after reading a note from the Seattle native, part of which read: “I know neither one of us is perfect, but I truly believe we are perfect for each other.”

Awwwwww.

“This has been a crazy journey,” Sean told an obviously nervous, shaking Catherine, who was wearing a shimmery, gold gown. “I knew from the very beginning that you were someone I wanted to be around. I miss you every time I have to say goodbye. I don’t want to say goodbye anymore.”

“I want to spend the rest of my life telling you I love you and making you feel like the most special, beautiful woman in the world,” Sean said beaming, as he got down on one knee. “Catherine, will you marry me?”

“Yes! Ohmygod!” Catherine squealed as the Neil Lane diamond slid onto her finger.  “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, is this for real?”

“I love you so much. I’m gonna tell you every day,” Sean said.

And it gets better. An elephant whisked them away into the sunset. No, really.

The day wasn’t all sunshine and roses, though. Before proposing to Catherine, Sean first had to break up with Lindsay Yenter, a 24-year-old substitute teacher from North Carolina, who infamously showed up the first night dressed in a wedding dress and got veeeeery tipsy.

Sean told a stunned Lindsay that letting her go was the “toughest thing” he ever had to do.

“I want to give you my heart so bad, but my heart is somewhere else,” he said. “I’ve been so confused, and have been searching and praying for clarity. I think I’ve finally gotten it.”

“Oh my gosh, I’m gonna go because this is painful,” she said, breaking down and sobbing.  “This is a nightmare. I’m happy for you, I’m happy that you found love, but I honestly can’t imagine my life without you and that’s something I’m going to have to figure out.”

Sean got the chance to sit down with Lindsay during the “After the Final Rose” live special, which aired immediately after the finale.

“I still light up when I think of you because you’re such an incredible person,” Sean told her.

A still obviously hurt, but classy and composed Lindsay told Sean that the experience “made her grow up so much.”

After giving Lindsay her closure, Catherine came on stage to roaring applause to sit publicly with her fiancée for the first time since their engagement three months ago.

“Each day since the show our love has grown stronger,” an elated Sean said.

The couple told “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison that they are excited to finally be able to go out, go to the movies, hold hands and “just be in love.”

When asked for wedding details, Sean told Harrison that he and Catherine have not set a date yet.

“But we have decided that because our relationship started and cultivated on a TV show, we’re going to have it on a TV show. ABC is going to cover our wedding!” Sean said.

Harrison teased out this “late breaking news” throughout the three-hour episode, telling the live “After the Final Rose” audience that the he had only been made aware of the plans for a televised wedding just 24 hours earlier.

There was one last surprise of the evening—the announcement of the next Bachelorette.

Desiree Hartsock, the 26-year-old fashion designer rejected by Sean after hometown date week (remember that crazy brother?) is the next lucky lady.
