Alec Baldwin’s war with the media apparently rages on, after allegedly calling an African-American photographer a "crackhead," "a coon" and "a drug dealer."
The incident happened over the weekend after Baldwin was approached by a New York Post reporter, Tara Palmeri, and photographer G.N. Miller outside the 54-year-old actor’s Manhattan home. Palmeri and Miller were there to interview Baldwin about reports that his wife, Hilaria Thomas, is being sued.
When Palmeri asked Baldwin about the suit, he reportedly grabbed her and said “I want you to choke to death.” Palmeri played an audio recording of the incident for police, the Post reported.
After allegedly lashing out at Palmeri, Baldwin then allegedly spewed racial slurs at Miller, a decorated former NYPD detective. Miller filed a harassment claim with police, as did Baldwin.
The “30 Rock” actor then took to Twitter to address the incident.
“Thank u 2 NYPD officers who came to my home 2day so that I could file a formal complaint against NY Post ‘photographer’ who assaulted me,’’ he tweeted, according to the New York Post.
He has since deleted those tweets about the argument, but he posted a link to a Gothamist article in which he denies uttering the racial slur.
"If you want to put words in my mouth...I've certainly had my moments. But this is not one of them. I don't think I've ever uttered a racial epithet to someone in my lifetime," he told the website.
Last June, Baldwin had a similar battle with the press. In that incident, a New York Daily News photographer claimed Baldwin punched him outside a marriage license bureau.
The Daily News reported that Marcus Santos was taking photos of the star and Thomas, on when the actor grabbed a second news photographer, then shoved Santos and hit him in the chin. He then walked away.
