"I am a perfectionist, and one thing about me: I practice 'till my feet bleed," said the singer when asked about her controversial performance. She eventually admitted that she did not have time to properly rehearse, adding that inclement weather and a lack of proper sound checks contributed to her decision to lip-synch. "I did not feel comfortable singing live," said Beyonce.
Nevertheless, the "Crazy In Love" singer confirming that she will "absolutely be singing live" at the upcoming Super Bowl — and she also proved she had the pipes to do it. When she first entered the press conference, Beyonce strutted into the room — reportedly wearing an Olcay Gulsen dress and a pair of Jimmy Choos — and belted out a (very live) version of the national anthem with no musical accompaniment, perhaps to give critics a taste of what they can expect during halftime.
