‘Wayne’s World’ 20 years later: Where are they now?

Party on! Yes, it’s really been over 20 years since Wayne, Garth, and a rockin’ Tia Carrere brought a new level to cable access shows shot in mom’s basement. “Wayne’s World” was one of the highest-grossing films of 1992, and the biggest blockbuster ever based on a “Saturday Night Live” skit. So just what has the cast been up to since Wayne and Garth hurled into stardom straight from Illinois? Our friends at Snakkle.com investigate.

Dana Carvey as Garth Algar
As Garth Algar, Dana Carvey brought us to a frightening new understanding of haystack blond wigs paired with granny frames. Schwing? In the end, Wayne’s sidekick and co-host helps Wayne keep it real while wooing his own dream woman—none other than Mrs. Dan Aykroyd, Donna Dixon.

Dana Carvey—Today
Considered one of “Saturday Night Live’s” most talented former cast member, Carvey has kept busy since his days as Garth. He’s gone on to make several TV appearances, even hosting “The Dana Carvey Show” in 1996. Most recently, he appeared in Adam Sandler’s “Jack and Jill” as—what else?—a crazy puppeteer.

Lara Flynn Boyle as Stacy
Lara Flynn Boyle gave new meaning to the psycho ex-girlfriend as Wayne’s scorned lover. With her crazy eyes and high ponytails, Stacy had every guy scared.

Lara Flynn Boyle—Today
Lara Flynn Boyle went on to appear in both film and television. She played the evil Seleena in “Men in Black II,” giving us nightmares about Victoria's Secret models with superpowers. And she’s been a regular on shows such as “Ally McBeal, “The Practice,” “Huff,” and “Las Vegas.”

Rob Lowe as Benjamin Kane
As smarmy television executive Benjamin Kane, Rob Lowe offered Wayne and Garth the world—and then behaves like a true Sphincter Boy. So who better to play the gorgeous-with-a-side-of-evil Kane than 1990s bad boy Rob Lowe?

Rob Lowe—Today
Rob Lowe may have torn up the 1980s as the hottest member of the Brat Pack, but he has spent much of the decades since dominating TV. With multiple credits each year, he’s most recently appeared as a regular on “The West Wing,” “Dr. Vegas,” “Brothers & Sisters,” and “Californication.” He’s now a recurring character on “Parks and Recreation.”
