The X Factor: Demi Lovato, LeAnn Rimes to Sing with Contestants in Finale

As “The X Factor” finale gets closer, preparations are underway for the remaining contestants to prove one last time they should win the recording album deal and the coveted five million bucks.

The Hollywood Reporter says for the finale taking place Wednesday evening, the three singers left, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Tate Stevens and the all-girl group Fifth Harmony will get to sing with a celebrity for some over-the-top performances.

“Kinda irritating to say, the person we've decided to duet with is Demi Lovato,” Simon Cowell told THR.

Throughout the show, Fifth Harmony’s best performances came when the group rocked out to her tunes “Skyscraper” and “Give Your Heart a Break.”

On the other hand, Tate Stevens will be singing with country star Little Big Town, despite wanting to perform alongside Garth Brooks.

"It's gonna be awesome," said Stevens, whose mentor is music executive L.A. Reid.

As for Britney Spear’s contestant, the 13-year-old talented teen will be crooning with LeAnn Rimes.

For Sonenclar, this will be the first time singing a country song, since she has always chosen to perform ballads.

"I think she's amazing," Sonenclar said of Rimes.

Last week, it was an unexpected turn of events for Emblem3 after the boy band was eliminated just a week before the finals.

It was Fifth Harmony who the judges, particularly Spears, expected to be sent home by America after the girls performed Shontelle’s “Impossible” a second time, even singing parts of the song in Spanish.

Like Spears, music label executive L.A. Reid had also showed little faith in the girl group and was “very shocked” that they were still around.

Despite losing one of his main acts, Cowell said these are some of the things that can happen in a singing competition like “The X Factor.”

"This is the way it goes," said Cowell. "I'm very, very disappointed. I am gutted for them."

On Wednesday fans will get to see Cuban rapper Pitbull perform during the grand finale, along with English boy band One Direction.
