The late Sage Stallone's second cousin, Edd Filiti, reportedly lashed out on Facebook at Sylvester Stallone for failing to stay in contact with his son.

In a series of messages obtained by Celebuzz that the website says were posted on Facebook and then removed, Filiti, 18, said Sage called his father to wish him a happy birthday earlier this month, but that dad never called back.

“What did he do wrong, say happy birthday,” Filiti reportedly wrote. “Neither you [Stallone’s wife Jennifer Flavin] or he could return a phone call, which is all he wanted, his father. I know you don’t care what happened, but you’ll care when your (sic) squirming under the burning magnifying glass of public opinion.”

Filiti is the son of Stallone’s half-sister, Toni Ann. Jennifer Flavin married Stallone in 1997, ten years after he divorced Sage's mother, Sacha Czack.

Filiti had more unkind words for Flavin.

“Jennifer Flavin, you won. Your tore this family apart and got your trophy, Congrats!" the Facebook message reportedly read. "Like you told my family, ‘I’m Sly’s family now, he doesn’t need you anymore.’ Lets see how much he needs you after this.”

The reports of family discord come as funeral arrangements are being made for Sage, who was 36 when he was found dead in his home by a housekeeper.

Sage will be buried at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Los Angeles, Entertainment Tonight reports. His mother has asked that donations be made in his memory to Autism Speaks.

An autopsy has been performed, but the cause of death will not be released for several weeks.

Sylvester Stallone has asked for privacy his son's death.

"This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives," Stallone said. "Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory and soul left in peace."
