Dancing With the Stars: Jaleel White Rumbas Out of the Competition

“Did I do thaaat?”

This is what Steve Urkel a.k.a. Jaleel White must have been telling himself after learning that he would no longer be a part of "Dancing With the Stars."

The actor, who became popular for his role as the nerdy and clumsy Steve Urkel in the sitcom “Family Matters,” was eliminated from the dancing competition Tuesday night, after receiving the least amount of votes and going head-to-head with Disney star Roshon Fegan and his partner Chelsie Hightower in the duel for one last chance to stay.

The judges, who thought Fegan’s version of the rumba was better than White's, sent the actor packing.

"It breaks my heart one of you has to go,” said judge and dance expert Len Goodman, who usually is not sentimental. Still, he felt Fegan performed better in the duel.

It was a difficult decision for fellow judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba as well. But they, too, chose Fegan’s dance over White’s.

“You both did very well,” Tonioli said. “We have to think.”

Inaba thought Fegan and Hightower worked better together than White and his partner Kim Johnson.

“I thought tonight you had extremely good chemistry," Inaba told Fegan.

White said he was sad to go but happy he had made it this far in the grueling competition.

"I'm going to tell you a secret,” White said. “I only thought I would last three good dances. To get this far… I've made incredible friends [and the] fans are incredible."

He then urged Goodman to have a heart and give Fegan the high score he deserves because “Roshon is incredible.”

“Len give him a 10,” said White laughing. He then joked about Goodman’s grumpy side.

“Len is the old guy outside the grocery store who won't give a kid any money for candy,” said White. “Len, Roshon is the kid outside the candy store!”

"'Dancing With the Stars' is hands down the hardest thing I've done,” he added. “I bow down to the beast -- which is the dance floor,” said White.

Other emotional moments included a performance by B-boy Richard “Steelo” Vasquez, who is overcoming a brain aneurysm after seeing himself face-to-face with death last fall.

“[It] was overnight that our lives completely changed,” said Vasquez’s wife Peeta. “Nothing really prepares you to see your husband not be able to speak… eat… walk.”

Vasquez, who has danced in movies such as "Step Up" and "Honey 2," was in physical therapy everyday for hours trying to rebuild his life. He proved he is not willing to give up his passion, which is dancing, as he stepped on the dance floor and performed for the first time since his surgery.

"We are re-building our lives, said Vasquez’s wife who was in tears while Steelo performed. “I'm so happy to have him back. There's hope for our lives again."

Former DWTS contestant Gavin Degraw was also back, this time to sing his latest single “Sweeter” for the audience and his former fellow contenders.
