It seems Eddie Murphy has a flop on his hands.

His new movie "A Thousand Words," about a man who only has 1,000 words left to say before he dies, only came in sixth place at the box office this weekend, earning just $6.4 million, according to The Associated Press.

In fact, "A Thousand Words" is the first wide-release movie of 2012 to earn a score a zero percent rating from critics on RottenTomatoes.com -- meaning all 37 reviews were negative.

But "A Thousand Words" isn't the only major disappointment of the year so far. "John Carter" only came in second place in its debut weekend, earning $30.6 million -- despite the $250 million that Disney reportedly spent on the movie. And Nicolas Cage's sequel "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" debuted below industry expectations over President's Day weekend, performing less than half as well as the first installment.
