“Bethenny Ever After” star Bethenny Frankel disclosed devastating news on the “Today Show” Monday, when she revealed that she recently suffered a miscarriage.

Frankel, who already has a one-year-old daughter Bryn, is 41 and admitted struggling with the notions that she failed her husband and that her rising age is posing a challenge.

“It was a very emotional experience,” she said on "Today." “The window is closing. You go through a rollercoaster of emotions.”

Frankel mentioned that as a result of the ordeal, she began to think of other women more than herself.

“Oh my god, I cannot even believe what people must go through if they can’t even have their own baby, even the first baby,” she said.  “I mean, I’m really lucky.  I have the most beautiful daughter in the world and I’m really grateful for her.”

Although the incident does not appear on the upcoming season of her show, “Bethenny Ever After,” Frankel confesses that viewers will see many other difficult moments regardless.

“Going back, would I want to document this entire season again?” she said during the interview. “No. But this is the truth of my life and it’s out there.  When I signed up for this show years ago, I committed to being honest and connect with my fans about what is going on.”

Frankel cited the difficulty of balancing a business, a child, being a good friend, and maintaining romance in her marriage.

“It’s just my life,” she told "Today." “It’s the truth. You can’t always be like a fairy princess in your wedding gown and say how perfect your life is, and then when things aren’t as perfect, not be honest about it.”
