Motley Crue is tearing up Las Vegas, Nevada with their ear-splitting tunes for their first ever residency at the Hard Rock Hotel's Joint. The idea of the four bad boys of rock running loose in Sin City seems like a natural. So what took so long?

"The timing was right," lead singer Vince Neil told Fox 411. Bassist Nikki Sixx added: "It took a while to work out all the logistics and stuff, it's something that we've been talking about for a long time."

The metal pioneers kicked off their run on February 3rd, but not without running into some challenges. "Some things didn't work, some things worked, but we worked all day to fix those bugs" said Neil. The band worked out the wrinkles up until doors opened, but still made time to speak to Fox 411 of what fans will experience.

"There's so much different stuff. There's things from holograms to little people running around and people on fire ... aerialist," Neil said. "Just some really great visuals."

Motley Crue also performs an acoustic set, playing stripped down versions of "On With The Show," Without You," and "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)" while floating above the audience in a circular platform. Tommy Lee continues his ride on his roller coaster drum kit from their 2011 tour.

The group is also getting some help from their friends. Papa Roach guitarist, Jacoby Shaddix joined the band to perform "Smokin' In The Boys Room" during Saturdays' show (February 4th), and Neil promised there would be more guest jamming with them on stage.

"A lot of them our friends of ours that have even called and said 'Hey bro can we jam with you'," Neil said. "So we have a song ready for anybody who wants to show up and play."

Motley Crue's Joint show runs through February 19th.
