Rapper Tyler, The Creator was arrested on a felony vandalism charge in Hollywood after allegedly trashing some sound equipment following a concert.

The front man for the Los Angeles group Odd Future, whose real name is Tyler Okonma, is alleged to have wrecked equipment at the Roxy, Sunset Boulevard, on Thursday, after performing at the venue earlier, TMZ reported.

Roxy staff called police at around 11:30pm local time and video of the incident, posted on YouTube, appears to show the rapper abusing a sound technician before climbing onto the mixing desk and bashing it with a microphone.

The rapper was arrested in front of his mom, who became upset and started shouting at cops, according to the gossip website.

He was released on $20,000 bail, according to the Los Angeles Times, but the musician himself claimed on his Twitter account that he was never arrested.

"Whoa, Its Stories On Me Being In Jail? The F*ck? I Wasnt In No Jail Or Arrested Or Nothing," he posted.

The 20-year-old performer won Best New Artist at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.
