At 82, Barbara Walters might finally be slipping a bit. Walters unveiled her annual "10 Most Fascinating People" of the year list (well, seven of them plus the Kardashian family plus one name still to be announced), and there's hardly a person on there who isn't tabloid fodder.

Take, for example, the Kardashians (apparently, they count as one person). We'll admit it, we were riveted when Kim filed for divorce just 72 days after her zillion-dollar wedding. But are Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Kris "fascinating"? Not so much.

Then there's Pippa Middleton, a woman famous for a) her rear end and b) being related to someone who is married to someone who is famous for being related to certain people.

Others on the list -- like Jesse Tyler Ferguson Eric Stonestreet, who play a gay couple on "Modern Family" -- have some social significance, at least. And we'll always be glad for an excuse to look at pictures of Katy Perry.
