"Real World: Wall Street"? Reality TV producers Bunim/Murray have posted an ad on Craigslist seeking people participating in the ongoing "Occupy Wall Street" movement as potential cast members for MTV’s “The Real World.”
“Part of Occupy Wall Street? Real World 27 Wants You! [Battery Park],” reads the ad, according to zap2it.com.
The ad continues, “MTV’s Real World is seeking cast members to tell their unique stories on our show. If you are over the age of 20 and appear to be between the ages of 20-24 ... we want to hear from you!”
“The Real World,” which puts a bunch of strangers together in a house, is considered the granddaddy of reality shows. It has been airing on MTV for nearly 20 years, after premiering in 1992.
The "Occupy Wall Street" protesters have been camped out downtown in Zuccotti Park on Wall Street since Sept. 17 and have made international headlines by protesting “corporate greed.”
The number of protesters is believed to be in the thousands.
