An eclectic group of stars align to form the new band including Eurythmics founder Dave Stewart, soul singer Joss Stone, Academy Award winning composer A.R. Rahman and reggae star Damian Marley. Their self titled album is available, complete with their first single "Miracle Worker."
Jagger has reached number one on the Billboard charts but not in the way you might imagine. Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera "Move Like Jagger" all the way to number on of the Hot 100 and Pop Songs list.
Also making Billboard news, Lady Antebellum's "Own the Night" debuts at number one on the Billboard 200, Country Albums and Digital albums lists.
Gavin DeGraw has had his fair share of Billboard hits and is hoping that his latest effort "Sweeter" will do the same.
Tori Amos is going acoustic with her 19th album "Night of Hunters." According to the artist's website the album includes The Apollon Musagete Quartet and the Berlin Philharmonic clarinet soloist Andreas Ottensamer. Amos starts her world tour in Helsinki, Finland on September 28th.
Another new release to check out is actress/singer Demi Lovato's "Unbroken." The 19-year-old star tells MTV.com that the album is her "figuring it out" as she moves from a Disney star to a young adult.
As Lovato looks forward to a promising career, R.E.M. and their fans take a look back as the group announces that they are calling it quits. In statement on the band website, they say "as R.E.M., and as lifelong friends and co-conspirators, we have decided to call it a day as a band." The announcement comes just 6 months after the release of their last album "Collapse Into Now."
As a legendary band says good bye, a legendary musician powers on even with a partial leg amputation! Leslie West spoke to Fox 411 about his upcoming album "Unusual Suspects" featuring guest stars like Slash. He adds that his "3 Guitar Heroes" tour will fuse some of his newest songs with his classic hits, "We'll have time to do some Nantucket Sleigh Ride, Theme From Imaginary Western, Mississippi Queen and a few others and one or two from the new album."
