The Search Is On for the Next Frank Sinatra

Calling all cute crooners!

The search is on for a "modern-day Frank Sinatra" for a new reality show competition.

"They're looking for an 18-24 year old male with that rat pack style," FOX411.com's own Courtney Friel explained on "Fox & Friends" on Friday. "The winner will receive a record and management deal."

Producers held an open casting call at Lucky Strike Lanes in New York City on Thursday.

"I'm looking for a young guy who lives and breathes this music," DSW Entertainment's David Simone explained. "(Someone) who has swagger and a great voice–a star."

The hopefuls assembled at the bowling alley warbled out classics from the Sinatra's songbook, with varying degrees of success.

"I think I did pretty well, I was definitely nervous," said one potential contestant. Even though the young singer dressed the part, he was stumped when asked where New Jersey native Sinatra was born.

"Kentucky?" he answered dubiously.

With many of the hopefuls lacking knowledge of the genre, producers are casting a wider net.

"They're having trouble finding people in this category," says Friel. "Everybody wants to do pop and hip-hop."

Swinging singers are encouraged to send an audition tape to singersearchonline.com. The contest runs through August 31st.
