LA Lakers forward Ron Artest is in talks with "Dancing With The Stars" and is seriously considering taking part in the show's next season, TMZ reported Wednesday.
The unconventional basketball star, who applied to change his name to "Metta World Peace," in June, is said to be excited about the prospect, sources told the website.
Artest may run into problems however, as the TV show is due to finish November, while the basketball season is due to start in October. If the NBA lockout ends early, Artest may find it hard to balance both commitments.
But "Dancing With The Stars" producers are said to be so desperate to recruit A-listers to the show, there will be no minimum rehearsal requirement next season.
