In an exclusive interview with FOX411's Pop Tarts last weekend, actress Mila Kunis agreed to accompany Sgt. Scott Moore to the Marine Corps Ball on November 18 in North Carolina, after he posted a YouTube video from his digs in Afghanistan inviting the "Friends With Benefits" star.
However, just a couple of days later doubt was cast over whether the date would actually take place after "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush announced that the 27-year-old would be in production for two films and unable to attend.
"It turns out she can’t do it,” Bush said on-air. “Apparently, Mila is already committed to two movies in November. However, she plans to meet with the sarge after he gets back from his deployment."
Only problem? It wasn't true.
"Do not believe what Billy Bush says," Kunis stated during a "Friends With Benefits" press conference on Thursday. “Please, I beg of you. Never did I say that I was not going. He made it up and people believed it, unfortunately...I am attending."
After all, a promise is a promise and an excited Moore said in a statement this week and said the date "couldn't come soon enough."
“I accepted an invitation and I’m staying true to my word," a defensive Kunis continued. “I got permission to be released from work for the day, so I’m flying in and flying out."
And it seems her "Friends With Benefits" co-star Justin Timberlake may also be donning a tux and accompanying a lady Marine to her Corps Ball a few days earlier in Washington D.C.
"I'll tell you what: I accept," he told reporters of Kelsey De Santis' request that he accompany her to the Washington, D.C., ball. "But not because she shouted out one of my songs, which I do love," he joked (De Santis referenced his hit "Cry Me A River" in her video invite). "And not because she had all those beefcake military guys behind her to intimidate me."
Timberlake, who initially encouraged Kunis to accept to proposal "for her country" concurred that it would be something very special for him, too.
"I don't get asked out. Ever. So I was very flattered by that," he added. "If my schedule works out to do it, I'd love to do it. It's an honor."
