Marine Sgt. Scott Moore of the 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines in Musa Qala, Afghanistan, took a leap of faith last week when he posted a YouTube video inviting  Mila Kunis to the Marine Corps Ball in North Carolina on November 18.

His faith was rewarded.

When told by FOX411.com of Sgt. Moore's YouTube offer, Kunis said she'd love to accompany the Marine to the ball. Since hearing the great news, a wave of excitement has washed over Moore and his buddies who are currently stationed overseas.

“I always thought I had a chance (to take Mila), and sometimes that’s all you need. The Marines I work with did their best to spread it around,” Moore said in a statement released to FOX411 on Tuesday. “I wanted to take Mila Kunis to the Marine Corps ball. We all talk about what we are going to do when we get back, and this was my dream. I do feel bad for putting her on the spot, but it's not like I was going to bump into her on the streets of Musa Qal'eh between now and the ball.”

More On This...

Needless to say, Moore is pretty pumped about the pending date, and he’s pinching himself to see if it’s real.

“My initial reaction was disbelief.  It's going to be a great experience to meet her, and it's going to make the ball more special for everyone,” he said. “I would like to thank all my friends and family back home in Grove City, Pennsylvania, and all my Marine brothers in 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines, for helping spread this around. It's a great opportunity and I cannot thank everyone enough.”

Included in Moore's thank you list is Justin Timberlake, who encouraged his “Friends With Benefits” co-star to accept the invitation “for her country.”

“JT and I had this all planned from the start,” Moore joked. ‘He's been a great wingman; it's nice to know he can get over the jealously to help a brother out (just kidding). Justin Timberlake's encouragement definitely helped; I owe him one.”

Moore said he has yet to discuss details of the date with the 27-year-old star, but confirmed that her representatives have been in touch.

“I think I'll keep that a secret for now," he said. "We have to iron out the details.”

Moore said he got the news that Mila said "yes" when a friend emailed him the FOX411.com interview with Kunis and Timberlake, who we talked to while they were promoting their new film.

"He sent the e-mail to me from FoxNews411," Moore said. "Obviously, I shared it with everyone and we all are pretty excited for November 18th. It can't get here soon enough."

Moore said his family can't believe the attention his proposal has gotten.

“My family heard and has received a lot of attention back home," he said. "They're really excited for me, and my dad said he can't wipe the smile off his face.”
