Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Denise Richards has welcomed a new addition to her family -- adopting a baby girl, People magazine reported Wednesday.

Richards, 40, an actress and former model, has two daughters with Sheen -- Sam, 7, and Lola, 6.

Her adopted daughter -- who was born in the United States -- has been named Eloise Joni Richards, after Richards' mother, Joni, who died of cancer in 2007.

"Eloise Joni Richards is named after Denise's mom [Joni], and Denise and her daughters Sami and Lola chose the name Eloise," Richards' rep told People.

"Denise and Eloise's big sisters couldn't be happier and feel incredibly blessed."
