Looks as if Micheangelo’s David might be the only one in Florence flashing his abs.
Authorities there have reportedly revoked permits for the cast and crew of “Jersey Shore” to tape at the most legendary sites in the historic city.
The cast members got as far as Newark Airport for the flight over the weekend before receiving word and heading home.
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio and Vinny Guadagnino>had already been taped with their suitcases, RadarOnline reported.
Sorrentino posted a picture on his Twitter page over the weekend leaving a home with his luggage and raising his two fingers to make the “victory” sign. He captioned the photo, “WATCH OUT ITALY.”
Filming of the reality show has been delayed indefinitely until the squabble can be worked out.
Production was set to begin today on the fourth season of the smash-hit MTV show, which also stars Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “Jwoww” Farley, and tumultuous lovebirds Samantha “Sammi Sweetheart” Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. But permits to shoot scenes in the famous Uffizi art gallery, the Boboli Gardens, and the Palazzo Vecchio — the symbol of Florence — were suddenly pulled, according to Italian press reports.
The series — which debuted last year in the United States — had just begun airing on Italian MTV and angered many viewers over the portrayal of “Guidos” and “Guidettes.”
