British beauty Kelly Brook has a message for her critics – just because she wears a bikini for nearly all of her scenes in her first American movie doesn't mean she is any less serious of an actress.
The “Piranha” star tells Fox411.com she spent most of her time on set in a bikini, but that she was grateful due to the extreme conditions in the 115 degree Arizona heat. Moreover, she tells us she is happy with what she brings to the film.
“If people want to cast me in roles for my body or how I look, I’m just doing to embrace that because that’s not going to be the case forever,” Brook said. “It doesn’t make me any less important than anyone else in the movie just because I’m in a bikini. That’s just the role I play. It’s as much a part of the story as the piranhas and everything else.”
Brook is also set to appear in an upcoming issue of Playboy, which she says was a lifelong dream of hers.
“I love Playboy, I think it’s such an iconic brand,” she said. “[I was able to] produce an amazing photoshoot that I know when I’m old and gray, I can look back on and go, oh my God, that was me when people were interested in seeing me scantily clad.”
