But Fox 411 Country got to see him in action having fun at more rugged activities at the CMA Music Festival Field and Stream’s Celebrity Total Outdoorsman Challenge.

From air rifle target shooting to bait casting, Bice says he was excited to show off his skills.

“I love to hunt and to fish, so when they asked me to be a part of this, I jumped at the chance,” Bice told FOX411 Country.

He also said there were some who worried if the festival would even go on after the tragic floods, but he was sure they’d make it happen. “There was never a doubt in my mind because that's how Nashville rolls."

Bice has contributed to the flood relief efforts himself, from his fan club party proceeds to sales of a new download, “Long Road Back,” off his latest album “3.”
