Conan Performs "200 Feet" Away From Ex-NBC Bosses in New York

Conan O'Brien brought his Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour to within "200 feet" of NBC headquarters Tuesday with a New York City performance that included a dance-off with his soon-to-be timeslot competitors, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart.

O'Brien's Radio City Music Hall show was an especially sweet spot on the 32-city tour because it returned him to the city where he hosted Late Night with Conan O'Brien for 16 years. He was just down the street from 30 Rockefeller Plaza, home of his old studio.

The former Tonight Show host noted, more than a few times, that his severance package from the network bars him from disparaging his former network. He noted his proximity to his old bosses by showing an NBC marquee with the name of his new network, TBS.

O'Brien's new show, to debut in November in the 11 o'clock slot, will put him in competition with his friends Colbert and Stewart, who fill the 11 o'clock hour at Comedy Central. But a dance off with the pair — both surprise guests — suggested they're all getting along just fine. (Even if the contest ended with Andy Richter shooting Stewart.)

O'Brien was on good terms with some of his old NBC cohorts as well. Saturday Night Live's Bill Hader and The Office's John Krasinski dropped in to help him pull O'Brien's Walker, Texas Ranger lever, as did Paul Rudd. O'Brien also performed alongside Vampire Weekend.

O'Brien performs again at Radio City Music Hall on Wednesday, and his tour ends June 14 in Atlanta.
