The former fiance of a cast member from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" died after a fight outside an Atlanta strip club, police said.

Fredrick Richardson was arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of Ashley "A.J." Jewell, Atlanta police spokesman James Polite said.

Jewell died from massive head injuries after a Friday night fight in the parking lot of the Body Tap Club.

Jewell was engaged to "Housewives" cast member Kandi Burruss until August. He appeared in several episodes of the show, which follows metro Atlanta socialites.

Police said Jewell worked at the club. They are not sure what caused the fight.

Authorities didn't know if Richardson had an attorney.
