Ian Ziering Gets Serious About 'Sharknado 2: The Second One'

With the premiere having finally aired on SyFy, "Sharknado 2: The Second One" has become the talk of the internet.

We recently got a chance to sit down with Ian Ziering, who plays hero Fin Shepherd, to get the inside scoop on this much anticipated sequel.

One of the biggest challenges in making the movie, Ziering says, was not knowing how the special effects would pan out. "When you're working with a lower budget, you're never really sure of how those effects are gonna come across," he tells Fox News Magazine in our exclusive interview. Fortunately for him and the rest of the "Sharknado" fanatics, Ziering says "the visual effects artist … knocked it out of the park."

Ian also dishes on the future of the franchise; and yes, there will be a "Sharknado 3." Ian credits this to the support of fans worldwide: "The fan response has been so enormous, not just here in the United States, but all over the world. So SyFy is gonna bring 'Sharknado 3' to the works." Unfortunately, details as to where this movie will take place, and when it'll be released, are still unknown.
