Tim Eads is a FOX News Channel contributor and a vice president for Blackbird Technologies, Inc.
Prior to that, Eads was the director of government affairs for the EMC Corporation and corporate vice president of government affairs for Science Application International Corporation (SAIC). Eads was a founding partner of Eads & Carter, a government relations firm representing 12 clients to all branches of the U.S. government and some foreign governments. From 1996-1997, Eads was an associate with Mehl and Associates, Inc.
In July 1997, Eads was appointed by the secretary of defense as a member of the assessment task force that investigated the bombing of U.S. personnel at the barracks at Khobar Towers, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, making recommendations to the president on how better to protect American personnel and facilities around the world from terrorist attacks.
With 20 years of service in the U.S. Army from 1976-1996, Eads reached deputy director of the legislative liaison Special Operations Command.
Eads was also an operations officer for counter drug operations in Southern Command, responsible for the planning, execution and monitoring of operations in South and Central America.
Eads received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Miami and his MBA from the University of South Carolina. Eads also graduated the Armed Forces Staff College, in Norfolk, Va.
