Reena Ninan is Middle East correspondent for FOX News Channel. She reports from throughout the region, including Israel, the Palestinian territories, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq.
In October 2005 she reported live from the Palestine Hotel compound in Baghdad moments after it was bombed by insurgents. She also covered the trial of Saddam Hussein, Iraq's first parliamentary elections, and was embedded with U.S. troops as they raided militant strongholds.
Ninan has also covered the takeover of Gaza by Hamas, the assassination of Hezbollah commander Imad Mugniyah, political tensions in Lebanon, and the rise of Al Qaeda in North Africa.
She has interviewed political and diplomatic figures including U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Iraqi Shiite leader Abdel Aziz Al-Hakim, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar.
Prior to her position as correspondent, Ninan served as a producer in FNC's Washington, D.C., bureau. She assisted in the network's 2004 presidential election coverage, including the Iowa Caucus, the New Hampshire primary and both the Democratic and Republican conventions.
Before joining FNC, Ninan was a producer for the Washington Post. She also worked as a freelance reporter for BET News and ABC News. Ninan graduated from George Washington University with a degree in political communication. She is originally from Tampa, Florida.
