Mike Straka is vice president and executive producer of FOXNews.com, overseeing video -- including content distribution, streaming media, video on demand and production, and is executive producer of "The Strategy Room," FOXNews.com's 9-to-5, Monday through Friday live streaming program covering news, politics, business, entertainment and crime.
Straka is also the host of "FOX Fight Game," covering the world of Mixed Martial Arts, and is widely recognized in the MMA industry as one of the first mainstream journalists to begin covering the sport at UFC 30 in February 2001.
Straka was also the features correspondent on FOX Magazine, where assignments include the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Academy Awards, Super Bowls, American Idol finales, and behind the scenes interviews with The Rolling Stones and Bon Jovi. In addition, Mike hosted Football Picks on FOX & Friends and FOX News Mobile's "Keeping It Reel" movie segments, and assisted in FNC's coverage of the September 11th, 2001 terror attacks at the World Trade Center as a field producer and reporter.
Straka joined FNC just prior to the network launch in 1996, and he has served as a tape operator, writer, associate producer, producer, intranet administrator for FOX News Edge, and director of operations and special projects for FOXNews.com.
Mike was also vice president and executive producer for news video operations for FOX Interactive Media.
Prior to joining FOX, Straka worked on the assignment desk at CBS News Radio, and began his career in television at CBS as a page - ushering audiences for Geraldo's and Joan Rivers' shows, giving tours and answering phones throughout the network.
His book, "Grrr!, Celebrities and Other Reasons Why We're All In Trouble," based on his FOXNews.com column was published by St. Martins Press in 2007.
