Heather Nauert returned to FOX News Channel in 2007.


Heather Nauert returned to FOX News Channel (FNC) in 2007 as the co-host of "The Big Story with John Gibson & Heather Nauert." Nauert currently anchors on FNC and hosts "The Strategy Room," a daily webcast on FOXNews.com. Nauert headed FNC's and FOXNews.com's youth vote coverage during the 2008 presidential campaign.

From 2005-2007, Nauert was a correspondent for ABC News where she contributed to "World News Tonight," "Good Morning America" and "Nightline." She covered the war in Iraq, the impending foreclosure crisis, wildfires, crime and feature stories. While at ABC, Nauert received an Emmy nomination for her work on the special series, "13 Around the World."

Prior to her stint at ABC News, Nauert was a FOX News correspondent from 2001-2005 based in New York. She reported on the genocide in Darfur, the war in Iraq and the 9/11 terror attacks. From 1998 to 2001 Nauert was a FOX News contributor in Washington, D.C.

Nauert worked previously as a government affairs consultant on health insurance, tax and Social Security issues in Washington, D.C. In 1996, Nauert reported for the syndicated business program "First Business," a weekly newscast airing in 110 markets nationwide.

She graduated from Mt. Vernon College in Washington, D.C. with a bachelor of arts in communications and she received her master's in journalism from Columbia University. She is a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations.
