The Buick Avista is a Camaro in classy duds. The sporty two-door coupe concept shares its underpinnings with Chevy's muscle car, and also the Cadillac ATS. These are both good things. What it gets to call its own is a sleek, muscular style we'll be seeing more of on future Buicks, plus a 400 hp twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6.
Nissan is hoping to make a big impact in the full-size pickup segment with its new Titan XD, a half-ton truck with heavy duty capabilities that's powered by a big diesel V8. Just to drive the point home, it created the Warrior adventure concept with a wide track, "modern armor" bodywork, LED lights on the roof, 37-inch tires and off-road racing shocks.
Acura's recent cars have been criticized for being bland, so it had the designer of its new NSX supercar take a shot at it. The Precision Concept is as long as a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but features a low-slung, swept-back style and an epic hood that are more sports car than luxury sedan and, we're told, will shape the future of the brand.
Are you interested in a Range Rover made by Kia? That's what the company is trying to find out with its Telluride Concept. The boxy, 3-row crossover features a 400 hp hybrid powertrain, second row seating that would put an Eames lounge chair to shame, and technology that can monitor your vital signs and emit custom lighting to rejuvenate you accordingly.
Audi is still trying to fix its diesel issues, but it's already working on new fuel sources for its cars. The H-Tron Quattro Concept is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell that generates electricity for front and rear motors that provide all-wheel-drive. Audi says it'll go 373 miles per fill-up, which takes just 4 minutes, a flash compared to charging an electric car.
Visions of the future.
