Chrome, so much chrome. And leather, too.
Chevy is bringing its new High Country premium trim level to its heavy duty Silverado pickups.
The top of the line trucks will feature chrome grilles, side steps and wheels plus body color bumpers front and rear.
The interiors are dressed up in saddle brown trim with heated leather seats and a high-end Bose audio system. A heated steering wheel is also available, and the High Country debuts Chevy’s new design extendable towing mirror, with power fold, chrome caps and integrated turn signals.
The trucks are festooned with High Country logos inside and out, and the package is available on 2500 and 3500 crew cab models in both single and dual rear wheel configurations along with a choice of three engines: gasoline, natural gas-capable bi-fuel and diesel.
Pricing has not been announced, but it will likely come in under the Denali versions of GMC’s heavy duty trucks, which start at $50,140.
Chevy introduced the High Country trim on its light duty Silverado 1500 this year and its proven to be a popular option, accounting for around 5 percent of sales, despite a base price of $46,700.
The heavy duty High Country models go on sale this summer.
