For 8 years I suffered through news images of protests against President Bush when more media people showed up than protesters.The media would cover protests with as little as 15 people if they were protesting the war.

There's been quite an uproar since President Obama was invited to give the commencement address at Notre Dame. For me, the mere fact that the president has agreed to give a speech is not the problem.

President Obama is taking over production in the American economy.
President Bush admitted to doing the same with the banking, real estate and insurance industry bailouts, proclaiming he Will Everyone Named McCain Please Leave the Republican Party!

Back in early 2007, about 20 months before the last presidential election, I wrote a post for my blog called "Why I Can't Trust John McCain." I wasn't alone. A Google search on the phrase "I don't trust McCain" reveals a couple thousand hits.

Considering how the Republican Party had its clock cleaned in the 2006 and 2008 elections, this year's Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington was particularly important. If conservative ideas are better than liberal ideas but people aren't voting for our candidates, then we must be doing a poor job of letting people know what conservatism is.

Ann Coulter is the funniest woman on the planet. I don't know why the media always paints her as the toughest man on the planet. No one is better at putting funnies into serious stories.
She started right in against the liberal media, telling the crowd that every host at MSNBC went to the "alternative prom" in high school.

If you follow new GOP chief Michael Steele around these days, you can bet you'll hear him bring up New Jersey's gubernatorial race this year. He wants that blue state red again.

That's how the CPAC organizers had to deal with seating conservatives who came to listen to Newt Gingrich today. When the huge main ballroom at the Omni Shoreham was full, they set up live feeds into other ball rooms to handle the overflow.
