On September 11th, 2001 everything changed. The suffering and loss of that day was felt across the country and world, but the focal point for most became Ground Zero. Lower Manhattan or the Financial District was devastated.

Eleven years ago this month Fox News producers found themselves over a thousand feet up and on the outside of The World Trade Center’s North Tower. They were there to do a profile on Roko Camaj, who washed the window’s that encased the observation deck and the restaurant Windows on the World.

One World Trade Center will eventually be several million square feet. It will rise to a dizzying height of 1776 feet. At a glance everything about it is massive or enormous. But parts make up the whole. Some are concrete or steel, but the vital parts are really the hands and minds putting it all together.

I wanted this piece to be a simple story about the history of what is called the “Ground Zero Cross”. But now I need to write about a lawsuit that claims including a cross at the National 9/11 Museum is a "mingling of church and state" and it shouldn’t be there.

At the new World Trade Center progress is steady. Tower 1 is 62 stories. Many of the name plates lining the memorial’s fountains are installed and covered in preparation for September's opening. As the city goes by work goes on.

There are many things I admire. Skills and talents possessed by others that I could only dream of having. But beyond the impossible dream of hitting a game winning home run there is one skill so many of us have and it is this ability that I admire the most. Feel free to quote me; the greatest skill is the ability to take an idea from one's mind and make it real with one's hands so that others can see it, consider it and/or use it.
