On financial policy, President Bill Clinton was a far more deregulatory president than George W. Bush. Sadly, President Obama has yet recognize the role deregulation played in fostering the Clinton-era growth he still says he wants to achieve.

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon returns to the Hill Tuesday to testify about his firm's multi-billion dollar losses. But in Washington, of course, there’s a billion dollars and then there’s a billion dollars. In only one instance, according to the Beltway elites, are we supposed to care how a couple billion dollars is lost.

Call President Obama's 'reform' bill what it should be called: pages and pages of massively costly, counterproductive and possibly unconstitutional mandates on nearly every type of business except for those government-sponsored enterprises at the root of the crisis.
