After Sunday's big win, President Obama is now seen as someone who got a major piece of legislation through Congress by sheer will and work. He has moved from being seen as ineffective to a get-things-done leader, specifically on a health care bill that eluded Presidents Nixon, Carter and Clinton.

It is amazing that the Republicans are fighting President Obama's plan tooth and nail when so many of their party's icons tried to get health coverage on the national agenda.
